The Anama Shoreline is located at the foot of Mount Hakodate below the Hakodate Foreign General Cemetery. The waters are vividly clear and many small fish and crabs live around the rock reef. The area is alive with fishing from spring to autumn and swimming and playing on the beach in summer. Visitors can enjoy the views facing Mount Hakodate, the unique mix of colors from the rock face of the bluffs, as well as the beautiful western sunsets facing Nanae-hama Beach and Kikonai Town.
